Because only carbon atoms arranged in sheets can become the best core of graphite cores, so as to promote graphitization, and after high-temperature graphitization, carbon atoms are changed from disordered arrangement to sheet arrangement, and at the same time, during high-temperature graphitization, sulfur is reduced by sulfur dioxide gas, so the sulfur content of high-quality graphitized recarburizers is generally very low, generally less than 0.05%, and even less than 0.03% for the better ones. It is also an indirect indicator for judging whether it has been treated with high-temperature graphitization and whether the graphitization is good. If the recarburizer has not been treated with high-temperature graphitization, the graphite nucleation ability is greatly reduced, and the graphitization ability is weakened. Even if the same amount of recarburization is achieved, the results are completely different. With the strengthening of environmental protection efforts in the country in the past two years, many steelmaking and casting companies have been severely tested, especially for some small and medium-sized companies with serious pollution. Some manufacturers have even stopped production. 1. Petroleum coke quality: Products are the life of an enterprise. The first consideration when choosing a petroleum coke manufacturer is the quality of coke. There are several indicators to measure: ① Purity refers to the content of sulfur and ash in petroleum coke. High sulfur coke will cause the product to swell during graphitization, causing cracks in carbon products. High ash content will hinder the crystallization of the structure and affect the performance of carbon products. ② Crystallinity refers to the structure of coke and the size of the mesophase spheres. Coke formed by small spheres has a porous structure like a sponge, while coke formed by large spheres has a dense structure like a fiber or needle, and its quality is better than that of sponge coke. Among the quality indicators, true density roughly represents this property, and high true density means good crystallinity. ③ Thermal shock resistance refers to the resistance of coke products to rupture when subjected to thermal shock of sudden rise to high temperature or rapid cooling from high temperature. Needle coke products have good thermal shock resistance and therefore have high use value. The thermal expansion coefficient represents this property. The lower the thermal expansion coefficient, the better the thermal shock resistance. ④ The particle size reflects the relative content of powder coke and block particle coke (usable coke) contained in the coke. Most of the powder coke is broken by mechanical action such as extrusion and friction during decoking and storage and transportation, so its size is also a manifestation of mechanical strength. Green coke can be prevented from breaking after being calcined into mature coke. Coke with more particle coke and less powder coke has higher use value.
